The Lucky Bunny fic fest is a multi-fandom k-pop writing event where you get a lucky draw of fanfic elements to mix and match into your own fanfic! 🎲🍒We provide the ingredients and you choose your favorites. In the end, we’ll have a picnic full of different fandoms and flavors! 🍰
How does this work?
After signing up, you'll receive a writing assignment with two random fanfic elements in four different categories:
1st category - member: You get a choice between two random members for the group you pick yourself. Choose which one of them to put into your main ship! You can also choose both :)
2nd category - AU: The setting your fic will be taking place in, for example: canonverse, coffeeshop AU, or royal AU.
3rd category - trope: A plot element to include in your fic, for example: enemies to lovers, fake dating, or heartbreak.
4th category - aesthetic: A visual to inspire the tone of your fic, be it through its colours, the objects shown or the general feeling it gives you. You can choose to include as little and as much of this into your story as you wish!
🐇 In each category, you select one choice you prefer and mix and match everything to assemble your fanfic!Of course you will be able to indicate which tropes/AUs/members you don‘t want to write in the sign-up form!
If you‘re still unhappy with your draw, you can get only ONE re-roll in ONE of the categories. The rest, however, will be left up to fate 🍀🎲🐇Example: You’re unhappy with the tropes you were given - you can use your one re-roll to get new ones! The rest of your draws in the other categories will stay the same.Note: As we're getting a lot of sign-ups at the moment (and we're super excited about that!) and we're personalising every lucky draw & sending them out in batches, it might take up to 1-3 days until you receive yours. Example for a lucky draw:
With this assignment, you could choose to write a fanfic set in a small town in which DK or Jeonghan finds his soulmate - or you could write a model AU in which your character is sent on a blind date. All the while taking into mind the aesthetic that you were given as a visual!
🍀 guidelines 🍀
Submitted works must have a minimum word count of 500 words.
All pairings are welcome, including poly ships, as long as the main ship features one of your assigned members. You are also allowed to write both members that you receive in one ship.
The story doesn't have to be from the POV of the member you choose to write about, as long as they are part of the main ship. As for side ships, you are welcome to go wild.
Fics of all ratings and multi-chaptered works are also allowed!
There will be 2 check-ins during the event to help us keep track of overall progress and offer support if needed. These are not used to evaluate word count or the quality of your work in any way.

The final works will be posted to an AO3 collection, so an AO3 account is required for participation.
The use of generative AI for this fic fest is prohibited.
Former members who have left due to serious criminal offences will not be counted in for assignments. However, we will be accepting fics featuring members who have left a group for personal, professional, or unclear reasons if you wish to write them! To ensure that everyone is comfortable with their assignments, please indicate in the sign-up form whether you are okay with being assigned a former member of your group. We will be accepting fics with members who aren't of age yet, as long as they are kept g-rated/t-rated.
If you have any concerns about your assignment or about completing your work within the given deadline, please let us know, and we’ll do our best to find a solution 💞
Feel free to share your lucky draw with friends! We don't have an anonymous posting period, so you can talk about your assignment & your ideas <3
If you need to drop out, that’s completely okay! We just ask that you let us know in advance so we can plan accordingly.
